Sometimes, it can be handy to export the model as an XML file. This allows you to use whatever (XML) tool you like to transform a model or edit information sources.
Importing XML into a model will replace that model.

NOTE: Not all licenses allow importing and exporting a model to XML.
Use the import XML and export XML buttons from the Ribbon.
Export via XML
A prerequisite for exporting a model is that it be downloadable. Use the webadmin (See User Account menu on the top right > More settings) to manage that.

Once a model has been set to be downloadable, you can export it via the models menu:

Import an XML into an open model
In order to import XML, you have got to have a model open. The XML will be imported into that model. If your model does not yet exist on your Expertsystemen server, just create and save a new model first. You will use that empty model to import the XML into.
If a model is open, the menu under ‘This model’, in the File tab, will show an item called ‘Import XML’:

Choose the file you exported earlier, and upload it with the Upload button:

In case the current version of the open model has unpinned changes, pinning the model will first be offered.
